MANILA, Philippines — Hindi uuwing bokya ang Philippine swimming team dahil bitbit nito ang tatlong medalya mula sa 13th Asean Schools Games na ginanap sa Da Nang, Vietnam.

Bumandera sa ratsa­da ng Team Philippines si Brent International School-Manila standout Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh na kumana ng dalawang tansong medalya.

Unang umariba si Moj­deh sa girls’ 100m but­terfly kung saan nagsu­mite ito ng isang minuto at 4.0 segundo para masi­guro ang podium finish.

Sa huling araw ng bakbakan ay nagdagdag si Moj­deh ng isang tanso ga­ling sa girls’ 200m butterfly matapos magrehistro ng dalawang minuto at 20.11 segundo.

Naduplika ni Mojdeh ang dalawang tansong me­dalyang nakamit nito noong 2019 Asean Schools Games sa Semarang, Indonesia.

“It was a great experience competing in the Asean Schools Games. I would like to thank every­one who supported not only me but our whole team — our parents, coa­ches, officials and to all who prayed for us,” ani Moj­deh na semifinalist sa 2021 World Juniors Championships sa Peru.

Galing naman ang isa pang tansong medalya kay Albert Jose Amaro II ng San Beda University.

Naorasan si Amaro ng 25.45 segundo para angkinin ang ikatlong puwesto sa boys’ 50m butterfly.
