Sheryl mas gustong pag-usapan ang anak kaysa lovelife

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

It may legally be over between Sheryl Cruz and Norman Bustos, who is based in the U.S. yet, hindi natin naririnig na may bagong love life si Sheryl, bagama’t she has maintained her looks at figure.

Sa halip, kung may gusto siyang pag-usapan, ito ay ang kanyang nag-iisang anak na si Ashley, na 13 years old na pala.

And there’s of course, her recording career. Alam naman nating lahat na Sheryl has her own recording label, na siyang nag-release ng kanyang current single.

She herself wrote the lyrics of the said song.

Sheryl, whose last project was ABS-CBN’s Galema, Anak ni Zuma, ay busy ngayon sa primetime seryeng ipalalabas sa GMA-7, ang Strawberry Lane.

Pamangkin ni Nora ayaw maki-ride sa superstar

Got to talk with Lala Aunor, pinsan ni Nora Aunor at miyembro ng grupong Apat na Sikat in the late 80s.

Lala has no idea where the other members of the Apat na Sikat are now. Basta ang alam daw niya, isang hotel executive ngayon si Arnold Gamboa, at si Winnie Santos naman is based in the U.S.

Lala is in the news now, not because she has become a successful businesswoman, who runs a recruitment agency and owner of a hotel-apartelle in Parañaque, but because her 21-year old daughter, Marion Aunor, is again a contender in this year’s Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs Competition. She is both the performer and composer of the entry, Pumapag-ibig.

Featured with Marion, while performing are Rizza Cabrera at Seed Bunye.

Sa nakaraang Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs Competition, she placed third with her entry If You Ever Change Your Mind, which she sung herself.

Grand winner was the song, Anong Nangyari sa Ating Dalawa, composed by Joven Tan at kinanta naman ni Aiza Seguerra last year.

Though Marion’s dream is to be both a concert singer and recording star, marami sa nakakakita sa kanya in person agree na puwede rin siyang maging artista o TV host kaya, as she is articulate, too, both in Tagalog and in English.

“I made sure that Marion and her young sibling studied in the best schools,” said Lala. “Kaya, nakapag-aral sila sa Brent. And for her college studies, sa Ateneo de Manila University siya nag-aral.”

Marion completed Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University two years ago.

“Sa Mom ko lang ako nagtatrabaho,” Marion revealed. “Kasi, sabi nga niya sa akin, sa halip na kumuha siya ng assistant, ako na lang.

“This way, too magiging convenient para sa akin ang tuparin ang pangarap kong makapasok eventually sa showbiz.”

Marion stands 5’7’’ and measures 33-23-34.

Although she can very well ride, so to speak, on her auntie Nora Aunor’s still unwaning popularity, as much as possible, gusto niyang siya mismo ang gumawa ng sariling pangalan.

“’Di niya maiwasang gamitin ang apelyidong Aunor, since real surname talaga iyan ng kanyang mommy Lala,” said a kibitzer.

Her auntie Nora’s real surname is Villamayor.

Kaya, let it be.

Ang ganda rin ng takbo ng showbiz career ni Nikki ngayon. Pinupuri siya sa kanyang role as a semi-kontrabida in the series, Hawak Kamay.

And did we hear it right that it’s just a matter of time at balak na niyang sagutin ang matagal nang hinihiling sa kanya ng isang dating classmate sa Ateneo?

Of Billy, balik-Showtime siya at shooting ng sequel ng Moron 5, kasama sina Luis Manzano, DJ Durano, at Marvin Agustin, at Matteo Guidicelli among others.
