LTO nakahuli ng higit 6K na ‘di rehistradong behikulo

MANILA, Philippines — Mahigit 6,000 unre­gistred vehicles ang nahuli ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) sa unang 15 araw ng Hunyo kaugnay ng ipinatutupad na “No Registration, No Travel” policy.

Ayon kay LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza, ang pina­igting na operasyon laban sa mga unregistered vehicles ay paalala sa mga motorista na maipare­histro ang kanilang mga sasakyan.

 “The renewal of the registration is not only an obligation to the go­vernment, it is also an obligation to yourself and your family because doing so would compel you to ensure the road worthiness of your motor vehicles, for your safety, for the safety of your love ones,” sabi ni Mendoza.

Sa datos ng LTO na sa 6,064 motor vehicles na nahuli, ang 5,127 sasakyan dito ay motorsiklo at ang natitira ay mga four-wheel vehicles na ang 34 dito ay pampasaherong jeep at ang 7 ay pampasaherong bus.

Nasa kabuuang 5,470 apprehended vehicles ay naisyuhan ng violation tickets habang ang 981 sasakyan ay na-impound.
