MANILA, Philippines —  Tiwala si Alas Pilipinas head coach Angiolino Frigoni sa tsansa ng kanyang bataan sa FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships na idaraos sa Maynila sa susunod na taon.

Base sa isinagawang draw, nasa Pool A ang Pilipinas kasama ang Iran, Egypt at Tunisia.

Alam ni Frigoni na hindi magiging madali ang tatahaking daan ng Pinoy squad. Ngunit optimistiko ito na may ibubuga ang kanyang tropa.

Partikular na tinukoy nito ang Egypt at Tunisia sa mga posibleng masorpresa ng Alas Pilipinas.

Hindi birong kalaban ang Tunisia na 11-time African Championship champion at kasalukuyang No. 24 sa world rankings habang ang Egypt naman ay nasa No. 20.

Bukod sa Egypt at Tunisia makakasagupa ng Alas Pilipinas ang 2023 Asian Champions at World No.15 Iran.

Tanging ang dalawang mangungunang teams lamang sa bawat pool ang aabante sa susunod na yugto ng torneo.

Pasok naman sa Pool B ang World No. 1 Poland kasama ang Netherlands, Qatar at Romania.

Nasa Pool C ang reig­ning Olympic champion France kasama ang Argen­tina, South Korea at Finland habang nasa Pool D ang United States, Cuba, Portugal at Colombia.

Binubuo ang Pool E ng Slovenia, Germany, Bulgaria at Chile habang nasa Pool F ang Italy, Ukraine, Belgium at Algeria.

Mangunguna sa Pool G ang world No. 6 Japan kasama ang Canada, Turkey at Libya samantalang nasa Pool H ang Brazil, Serbia, Czechia at China.
