Cone, Guiao nagkakapikunan sa championship series

Manila, Philippines -   Sa pagkadismaya ni B-Meg coach Tim Cone sa pamamahala ng mga refe­rees sa laro ay inihagis niya ang isang monoblock chair sa gitna ng court sa 7:21 ng fourth quarter sa Game One ng kanilang cham­pion­ship series ng Rain or Shine para sa 2012 PBA Go­vernors Cup noong Ling­go sa Smart-Araneta Co­lisuem.

“Physicality is great out there. Our guys are being frustrated. Some of our guys are hit on the tes­ticles and tried to tell the ref but it fell on deaf ears,” ani Cone.

Ang paghahagis ng sil­­­ya ni Cone ay isang pa­­raan pa­ra ma­rinig siya ng mga re­ferees.

Mula sa pagkakahu­got ni import Marqus Blakely ng kanyang pang limang foul sa 3:45 ng third period at pag­kakatalsik kay Cone sa final canto, natalo ang Llamados sa Elasto Painters, 80-91, sa ka­ni­lang series opener.

 Ayon kay Cone, sumobra sa pagiging pisikal ang Rain or Shine ni men­tor Yeng Guiao.

“One thing is to be strong and physical. It’s ano­ther thing when you give an elbow,” reklamo ni Cone.

HIndi naman pinansin ni Guiao ang pahayag ng 14-time champion coach na si Cone.

“We’re just playing tougher defense and this is the finals. (Cone) should un­derstand that,” sabi ni Guiao.

Inireklamo naman ni Guiao si 6-foot-8 Yancy De Ocampo.

“From the very beginning, from our first match in the elims, Yancy has been swinging his elbows every time he’s in possession. He hasn’t got a warning,” ani Guiao.
