Senator Imee's conspiracy theories

The presidential sister, Senator Imee, presents a proposition that the Palace and the House are confederating to remove the Dutertes as obstacles to the Sara presidential run in 2028. Do you accept this proposition?

I still can't fathom how deep Senator Imee's resentment is against her own younger brother the president, and her sister-in-law the first lady. I cannot for the life of me comprehend how the Marcos siblings are so fragmented that the lady senator would favor vice president Sara Duterte against her own adeng, BBM. Failing to understand the lady senator's deviant behavior, I have my own conspiracy theory: That BBM and Imee have a conspiracy to infiltrate the camp of Sarah and Imee's stance is just a charade.

I heard by nationwide broadcast about four conspiracies allegedly hatched by the Palace against the Dutertes. The first alleged conspiracy by Malacañang and the House Speaker was on Peoples' Initiatives. The Plan A was allegedly amending the Constitution to allow BBM to continue as head of state and head of government beyond 2028. Shades of President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.'s sinister plot to amend the Constitution and remove the prohibition against presidential reelection. According to Senator Imee, this was a failure.

The alleged second conspiracy was the failed impeachment of the vice president. Senator Imee stood firmly and consistently against the impeachment moves led supposedly by the House speaker, her own first-degree cousin, Ferdinand Martin Romualdez. The Duterte senators, abetted by the Senate president, blocked the move to impeach VP Sara. In fact, Senator Imee accompanied the vice president in her peregrinations to Malaysia and elsewhere, trying to rally OFWs support against impeachment. Ultimately, the Supreme Court declared the articles of impeachment unconstitutional. That was failure number two.

The third conspiracy was the so-called illegal and unceremonious arrest and "kidnapping" of former president Duterte and the latter's send-off to The Hague. This was the only Malacañang and House scheme that succeeded. But the camp of the Dutertes is not yet done in its firm and determined stand to bring back PPRRD to Davao. Senator Imee uses the arrest of PPRRD as a basis for her relentless attacks against the administration.

The fourth alleged conspiracy is the so-called Malacañang and House of Representatives' alleged sinister plot to install Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla as the next Ombudsman. It is postulated that the mission of Ombudsman Boying is to prosecute Sara, Pulong, and Baste Duterte and to obtain their conviction before the Sandiganbayan and make sure that the Dutertes are slapped with perpetual disqualification from holding public office. This is allegedly on-going and if this scenario succeeds, then Martin Romualdez will have no strong opponent in 2028.

With due respect, I do not buy all these four conspiracy theories. On the contrary, it is my own belief, call it a theory if you will, that the real conspiracy is between BBM and his elder sister. It is my firm belief that Senator Imee is a gargantuan elephant in the room disguised as a Trojan Horse. Her mission is to constitute herself into a spy to infiltrate the Duterte camp and to conduct sabotage schemes and tactics to weaken the Dutertes. Imee is a true-blooded Marcos and Romualdez. And blood is still thicker than water.

Imee is just using the Dutertes as she did with flawless finesse in last senatorial elections where her fledgling senatorial candidacy was saved by the Mindanao block of votes. But Senator Imee does not realize that the Dutertes are also using her against BBM. The two astute women, Sara and Imee, both presidential daughters, are just mutual users who find convenience in each other's temporary alliance for tactical objectives and not strategic goals.

Time will come that the die shall be cast and the Rubicon shall be crossed. When push comes to shove and when the rubber hits the road, Senator Imee will finally go home to where she really belongs, to the corner of the Marcoses and the Romualdezes. The true enemy of all Marcos characters are the Dutertes. And the feeling is really mutual. Mark my words.
