Most challenging election
This midterm election, unlike others in the past, is a most challenging one for our beloved Motherland – crucial even – as it can greatly influence the 2028 presidential elections. In the same vein, this is a super-divisive election for us for the following reasons:
• The moral compass is lost in quest for wealth and power;
• False news, trolls dominate social media to muddle relevant, truthful issues;
• The varying colors of the candidates define the election;
• Vote buying has evolved in different ways/shapes to evade charges;
• The “hakot” system has become a prevalent practice to show massive crowds to fool voters;
• Election has become a lucrative business, a good source of power and wealth for dynastic families;
• Candidates shift political parties like a revolving door for personal interests;
• Bad candidates are repackaged to look good;
• Surveys are looked at with disdain, doubts and suspicions, as most are paid and are fake;
• Sectors of society are pitted against each other because of candidate preferences;
• Truth is subjugated under the deceitful schemes of propagandists, vloggers, influencers;
• Election pits evil versus good, competence versus ignorance;
• Voters’ suffrage is sacred no more;
• Foreign interference in our election is widely, visibly undertaken.
Think of our families! Think of our beloved Inang Bayan!
Think of the future of the next generation.
Let us vote WISELY, CAUTIOUSLY for the candidates with unflinching, steadfast support for our territorial integrity and our West Philippine Sea. Vote for the BEST candidates, who will genuinely work to uplift the lives of our kababayans and propel our beloved Motherland to the path of lasting peace and prosperity enjoyed by all Filipinos.
Peace, good health, abundance to us all!
