Sen. Gringo Honasan says the move to change Pilipinas to Filipinas is not a government priority. Nevertheless, Senator, our country's name has already been changed by OFWs who are now calling Phl “Pinas”.

The giant crocodile named Lolong that has given the Philippines a place in the Guinness Book of World Records is now frozen and forgotten. He's in a freezer, something that ought to be done too to some two-legged crocs in government instrumentalities.

The news says the government aims to cut poverty in half by 2016. That's when PNoy leaves. The other half he leaves to Mar Roxas or Jojo Binay?

Veteran political observers are not surprised by Councilor Mary Ann de los Santos and Councilor Dave Tumulak's failure to get committee posts (per news report, July 2/13) “Me surprised?” said one old observer. “That's how politics is played. That's how the cookie crumbles.”
