Ten candles for 9/11

- The Ear -

CANDLES FOR 9/11. It was not only the important people of society who remember 9/11 and marked it in many ways. The common people too remembered and marked it by lighting what they called “candelaria” candles. They were residents of Martires St. (M.J. Cuenco Ave.) who were members of a group called “Aldaysos sa mga Kalag sa Purgatoryo.”

TEN CANDLES. An Ear informer said the members of the group lighted 10 candles in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Twin Towers attack and another 10 candles for the victims, souls in Purgatory. “Way nakadungog ining pundoka pero dugay na kini nga nanerbisyo sa mga kalag sa Purgatoryo,” according to our informer.
