REST AND RECREATION. Did you know that Cebu has become the place fo rest and recreation by a lot of people from the different Visayan regions? A research done by a tourism student (for her masteral thesis) shows that “better off” residents from Negros, Iloilo and Bohol come to Cebu when they need to relax or recharge after a tough grind in connection with their work, “Here in Cebu,” a Negros trader said, “you can find relaxation in mind and body.”

FOOD LOVERS. The student’s research also showed that non-Cebuanos who come to relax also have in mind the “many eating places to choose from.” One businessman from Negros said “Chinese food that I can’t afford in Hong Kong or Macau I can enjoy in Cebu and they are cooked by the same class of chefs in the two Chinese territories.”
