14,000 travelers pinigil ng BI
Ito ang ibinigay na ulat ni BI-OIC Deputy Commissioner Marc Red Marinas, port operation chief kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, simula noong January hanggang May 2018 ay umabot sa 14,076 passengers ang pinigil na makaalis sa airport , 59 dito ay biktima ng human trafficking kung saan ay sumailalim sila sa masusing imbestigasyon ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT).

MANILA, Philippines — Aabot sa 14,000 travelers ang pinigilan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na makalabas sa bansa sa loob ng limang buwan bilang bahagi ng kampanya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na labanan ang human trafficking sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals.

Ito ang ibinigay na ulat ni BI-OIC Deputy Commissioner Marc Red Marinas, port operation chief kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, simula noong January hanggang May 2018 ay umabot sa 14,076 passengers ang pinigil na makaalis sa airport , 59  dito ay biktima ng human trafficking kung saan ay sumailalim sila sa masusing imbestigasyon ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT).

Naging kuwestyonable naman ang mga travel documents ng 170 passengers at kulang din ang mga papeles ng iba pang pasahero samantalang ang iba naman na umabot sa 67 pasahero ay mga menor-de-edad.

“We were also successful in foiling several attempts by international syndicates to use the NAIA as a transit point for smuggling illegal aliens to other countries such as Canada and the United Kingdom,” ani Marinas.
