Daddy A pushes forward with creative venture amid health struggle

MANILA, Philippines — Despite his ongoing battle with kidney failure, Allan Mitchell "Daddy A" Silonga continues to push forward with an even bigger vision for the future of Philippine music.
The veteran artist developer, entrepreneur and creative visionary is currently strengthening his artist management and development efforts in preparation for the launch of ICE (Imajin Creative Entertainment), a new umbrella company that will oversee IVOS Productions, Imajin Arts & Music, Kosmik Island Recording Studio and Enormous Apparel.
Widely recognized as the founder and lifelong board member of IV of Spades, Daddy A has spent decades discovering, mentoring and developing artists.
His track record also includes founding the hit group Kindred Garden, creators of the classic OPM hit "Pangako," and pioneering R&B group K24/7, one of the earliest champions of R&B music in the Philippines.
As part of ICE's expansion, Daddy A recently added four new acts to his growing roster, joining artists such as Shanni, Levii, Jae Laurent, Dwarf, ZPRH and D'Lowkey Saints, with three more signings expected in the coming months.
Beyond artist management, Daddy A is also building a church ministry dedicated to artists, musicians and entertainment professionals—a place where creatives can find faith, guidance, healing and community.
Another major focus is the continued growth of the R&B PH Coalition, a movement he founded to unite Filipino R&B, Soul, Neo-Soul, Funk and Hip-Hop artists.
Having witnessed the struggles of the local R&B scene since his K24/7 days in the 1990s, Daddy A dreams of building a stronger community, launching a dedicated R&B Festival and eventually establishing a national R&B and Hip-Hop Awards platform.
While kidney failure has presented one of the biggest challenges of his life, it has not diminished his passion, vision or determination.
With ICE on the horizon, new artists joining the family, and multiple creative projects in development, Daddy A remains committed to building opportunities for the next generation of artists.
