‘Beauty and the Beast’ musical tickets now on sale

MANILA, Philippines- Belle, Beast, Gaston, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, and other much-loved Beauty and the Beast characters come to life on January 11-25, 2015 as Ovation Productions brings the original  Broadway spectacular  to the CCP Main Theatre stage.

Experience Belle and the Beast’s wonderful and unique love story in this one of a kind Broadway musical, which turns 20 years old this year! Tickets go on sale starting Tuesday, August 12.

Beauty and the Beast is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved in return, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

The production is directed by Rob Roth and choreographed by Matt West. It features costumes designed by Tony Award winning Ann Hould-Ward, lighting designed by Natasha Katz, scenic designed by Stanley A. Meyer, sound designed by John Petrafesa Jr., and music supervision by Michael Kosarin. It also boasts of music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman, a book by Linda Woolverton, and additional songs with music by Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice.

Daily showtimes except Mondays are 8 p.m. with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Main Theater, CCP Complex.
