Israeli-duo 'RevelDay' rocks Manila

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Embassy of Israel, in cooperation with The Ayala Museum, brings the celebrated, young duo of Guy Mentesh and Yahel Doron – RevelDay to Manila.

Mentesh and Doron rose to prominence in Israel after their cover of the Kings of Leon's "Sex on Fire" was released on YouTube – garnering a good number of views.

The native Tel-Avivians have since produced their own self-titled album "RevelDay" last 2011. The album fused in styles of rock, alternative pop and acoustic – steadily climbing the music charts in Israel. Today, they are now working on their second album - "RevelDay II".

Six months after their debut album released, RevelDay took a part in the international music TV show - "The Voice" in Israel, which demonstrated their performance capabilities.

The duo has also toured around Israel start to play acoustic concerts and full-band performance and have generated great press interests with their original single "I Dunno What To Say".

Manila was tagged by the duo to be their first performance in Asia through the 2013 Philippine Jazz and Arts Festival. Their keen interest in Filipino culture and music has also drown them to the country.
