MANILA, Philippines — Former “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” Season 1 housemates Ralph de Leon and River Joseph will be joined by actors Elijah Canlas and KD Estrada as the newest hosts of the returning debate show “Y Speak.”

Fr. Tito Caluag, who will serve as its executive director, announced the four actors’ new roles as the presenters of the 2004 youth-oriented show.

“‘Y Speak’ will be a civics education and formation program focusing primarily on the youth as its main audience. It will air [on] different platforms across two networks,” Fr. Caluag wrote on his Instagram announcement on Saturday, January 10.

He also added that they are working on selecting two young women as the remaining hosts of the show.

The show will feature “on-ground partnerships” through the social action centers of the charity organization Caritas Philippines.

Original “Y Speak” host Bianca Gonzalez reacted to the post by leaving clapping hands emojis.

“Y Speak” aired from 2004 to 2005 on ABS-CBN’s now-defunct channel Studio 23. The talk show had a debate format, with hosts engaging celebrity guests in front of a live audience from various schools. Hosted by Bianca, Ryan Agoncillo and Karen Davila, the show focused on debates about current and relevant issues.
