Karylle on ex Dingdong Dantes: 'I don't think friendship is in the cards'

MANILA, Philippines — Singer-actress Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon noted that there is mutual support between her and fellow actor Dingdong Dantes, but she does not see the need to be friendly with her ex-boyfriend.
Karylle appeared on the October 1 episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," where Boy brought up Dingdong appeared on the noontime variety show last June.
Dingdong was accompanied by Charo Santos-Concio doing promotional rounds for their movie "Only We Know," and the two paired to play against the "It's Showtime" hosts, including Karylle, during one game segment.
Many took notice that Dingdong and Karylle played on opposite ends of the stage. The two were paired in the original run of "Encantadia" in 2005 but split in 2008 after being in a three-year relationship.
Karylle laughed when Boy asked if it was awkward seeing Dingdong again and acknowledged seeing clips online about the lack of interaction between them.
"I wouldn't have put myself in a situation na hindi ako handa," Karylle said, pointing out some people are not always prepared to be in a situation like hers.

The singer-actress still described being in Dingdong's proximity "a beautiful moment," as commented by some people online, and things were fine between them.
She shared that public breakups are always difficult, bringing up her mother and fellow artist Zsa Zsa Padilla's separation with her father, Modesto Tatlonghari. Karylle was only six years old when her parents separated.
Boy then asked Karylle if she was looking forward to or even saw the possibility of being friends again with Dingdong.
"I would imagine, being people in the same industry, we could support each other. I see that he supports our movie, I did my best to support his. Friendship? I don't think it is in the cards anymore," Karylle ended.
Karylle eventually married Sponge Cola lead singer Yael Yuzon in March 2014, while Dingdong tied the knot with perennial screen partner Marian Rivera in December of the same year. — Video from GMA Network's YouTube channel
