MANILA, Philippines — Streaming platform Prime Video dropped the first images of the KimPau tandem, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, in their latest series together "The Alibi."
The show is billed as a gripping psychological thriller that explores the razor-thin line between truth and deception, "blurring the lines between love, betrayal, and survival" and "set against the backdrop of power, privilege, and hidden sins."
"With shocking twists at every turn, the series dares to ask: how far would you go to protect the people you love — and what truth would you be willing to bury?" the show's synopsis ends.
Teaser photos show Paulo as "a man cornered by legacy and guilt" and Kim as "a woman torn between redemption and revenge."
Co-starring with Kim and Paulo are Sam Milby, Zsa Zsa Padilla, John Arcilla, Rafael Rosell, Sofia Andres, Angelina Cruz, and Robbie Jaworski.
Taking helm of the project are directors FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin, who previously worked with Kim and Paulo on their first series together "Linlang," and writer Danica Domingo.
After "Linlang," Kim and Paulo were paired up for the Philippine adaptation of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?" and the Star Cinema film "My Love Will Make You Disappear."
