Warwick Davis to reprise Professor Flitwick role in new 'Harry Potter' show

SUMMERLAND, Canada — HBO Max's upcoming "Harry Potter" series adaptation has made its first cast announcement that revealed an actor from the original film franchise reprising his role.
Warwick Davis is set to play once more the Charms professor Filius Flitwick, a role he played for a decade since 2001's "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone."
Davis' addition was announced during the Back to Hogwarts Showcase, an event marking the day students in the fictional wizarding school go back for a new academic year.
Further cast additions announced during the showcase were Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, William Nash as Gregory Goyle, Sirine Saba as Professor Sprout, Bríd Brennan as Madam Poppy Pomfrey, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

Bigger names in the show are John Lithgow as Professor Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.
The series helmed by Francesca Gardiner Mark Mylod is currently in production and set to premiere in 2027.
