Jason Momoa shaves beard again after 6 years for 'Dune 3'

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Jason Momoa is clean-shaven again for the first time in six years as he prepares to return to the "Dune" franchise.
The last time the actor did not have his iconic facial hair was for parts of the first "Dune," which came out in 2021 after some pandemic delays, where he played Duncan Idaho.
Momoa is set to reprise the role in the upcoming third "Dune" film, simply named "Dune: Part Three," which just entered production ahead of a December 2026 release.
The actor posted a video on his Instagram account of him shaving while promoting his sustainable bottling company Mananalu.
"This is the kick-off [for] 'Dune 3]... only for you Denis," Momoa said, shouting out filmmaker Denis Villeneuve.
"Oh man... God damn it, I hate it!" Momoa laughed after shaving his face.
Many followers showered their support for Momoa in the comments section, led by girlfriend and fellow actor Adria Arjona.
Also confirmed to reprise their roles for "Dune: Part Three" are Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh.
Momoa's son Nakoa-Wolf will play Leto II Atreides, the twin of Ida Brooke's Ghanima who are both children of Chalamet's Paul and Zendaya's Chani.
