“Our top athletes can improve their world rankings by competing here and for the rest this is a chance to get some exposure by playing with the best,” ani squash chief Robert Bachmann kahapon sa Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.

“We’re trying to grow it. I know squash is one of the smallest sports here but we are working for the future of the sports here and its longevity,” ani ng two-time Asian Games gold medalist sa team event at silver medalist sa singles.

Pitong buwan pa lamang ang dating World No. 5 sa pamamahala sa Philippine team matapos magsilbi sa Malaysian team ng halos 20 taon.

Bukod sa Pilipinas, hahataw din sa dalawang events ang Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka at Egypt.
