Enrique Gil is new chief communications officer of health app
MANILA, Philippines — Actor Enrique Gil has recently taken on a major new role — and it isn’t a character for a film project or a soap opera on TV. It is for a serious corporate role, as he has formally joined KonsultaMD, a premier health app under the umbrella of the Globe Group. He has been appointed as its chief communications and impact officer (CCIO).
A contract-signing formalized the appointment, with Gil affixing his signature on the contract along with Ernest Cu, president and CEO of the Globe Group, and Cholo Tagaysay, president and CEO of KonsultaMD.
“Thank you so much to KonsultaMD for trusting me in this partnership. I really strongly believe that healthcare should be accessible to every Filipino no matter where they are,” said Gil, who has always been passionate about ensuring that healthcare reaches every Filipino and therefore sought a partnership with KonsultaMD to bring this vision to fruition.
The actor’s role at KonsultaMD thus goes beyond endorsement, as he now serves as a voice for a significant cause and aims to bridge the gap between Filipinos and quality healthcare so that Filipinos, no matter where they are, will be aware that medical services are available to them and they can avail of such services whenever they need to.
The partnership was created by Ranvel Rufino, strategic partner, and Pamela Lee, head of Marketing and Partnersips of KonsultaMD.
“Our mission is to democratize healthcare. Enrique is going to be a massive help to that mission. We’re very excited to collaborate with him and his team to create awareness for KonsultaMD,” said Tagaysay, who pointed out that with Gil on board, they hope to connect with a wider audience who may not be aware of the availability of accessible and affordable healthcare services.
Gil’s genuine connection with Filipinos nationwide is expected to encourage more people to prioritize their health and well-being.
