Filipino OPM icons jam with Australian legend Rick Price
MANILA, Philippines — Australian singer-songwriter Rick Price serenaded Filipino fans with his original songs as well as covers from Adele and Alicia Keys during his Manila concert held at the New Frontier Theater on Friday.
Rick sang Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love” and his own acoustic rendition of Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You,” to the delight of his fans. He also performed a cover of Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody.”

The singer also did a duet with former Freestyle vocalist Jinky Vidal. They sang Price’s original song, “Where is the Love.”
Former Side A frontman Joey Generoso, also a special guest in the concert, sang his band’s greatest hit “Forevermore.” Generoso likewise sang with Rick, doing a duet version of James Taylor’s “You’ve Got A Friend.”

Apart from covers, Rick also sang his original songs such as “Nothing Can Stop Us Now,” “If You Were My Baby,” and “Walk Away Renee.”
But the highlight of the night belonged to his greatest hit “Heaven Knows,” which he saved for the last. Fans sang along as Rick performed it while playing the piano.
As gratitude for the support he got from Filipinos, Rick promised to come back and sing again for his fans, who he described as “gentle and kind.”
“I love that there’s a kindness in Filipino people and I don’t think that there’s any greater quality that a human being can have than a spirit of kindness,” Rick said in an interview before his concert.
