Jessy Mendiola on Luis Manzano: We’re not yet a couple

MANILA, Philippines – Nothing is official yet between Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano.

This is what the Kapamilya actress clarified in an interview during the FHM victory party on Tuesday.

“Hindi pa,” she replied, laughing, when asked if they’re already a couple. She added that they’ll reveal it when they’re already together.

Meanwhile, it was an exciting experience for Jessy to meet Luis’s mom Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos, which has been the talk of the town last week.

“Sobrang kinabahan ako, pero sobrang bait kasi siya. So nakakatuwa kasi pagpasok ko pa lang sa bahay nila sobrang welcome na,” she said.

She also echoed what Luis said about the dinner, where Vilma just advised them to “just to be happy as long as wala kaming ginagawang masama, we just have to go on with our lives.”

As for her career, Jessy didn’t deny that she hopes that winning the title as the Philippines’s Sexiest Woman will help jump start her career again after several setbacks in the previous years.

“I'm really happy. I feel lucky na despite all the intrigues, the issues thrown at me,” she said. “Sana magtuloy-tuloy na 'to.”
