Alice Dixson hopes to have a child 'naturally'

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines – Alice Dixson admits she is jealous of mothers and hopes to have a child of her own.

“I wish I was,” the TV5 actress said when asked by members of the press if she ever wished of being part of the Mother's Day celebration as a mom.

She added, “I think na-mention ko rin before, naiingit ako sa mga moms. Kasi iba yung mom's love, e. So, medyo naiingit ako.”

The question came about during the press screening of “More Than Words,” TV5's Mother's Day special presentation.

In the said TV movie, Alice plays the role of Sabel, an ex-convict who was imprisoned for killing the man who sold off her daughter, played by GMA-7 talent Sarah Lahbati, who was adopted by a rich family.

Like the family in “More Than Words,” is Alice opening to adopting a child as well? The actress said that while she has a adopted brother almost half her age, she would want to have a child naturally.

“For me to adopt, parang it's not a priority right now for me,” she explained. “I'd like to have a child naturally, if ever. And if it doesn't come, then it doesn't come.”

Alice remains coy about her dating life, keeping mum as members of the press ask her about the non-showbiz businessman she was earlier reportedly dating.

The actress is currently single, as her divorce with Ronnie Miranda was finalized March of last year.

“You never know who the right guy is, e,” she said, evading the topic of her love life.

“More than Words,” TV5's made-for-TV movie special for Mother's Day, airs on Sunday, May 11 at 9 p.m. on TV5.
