Angel on Luis: ‘Mahal ko siya. Gusto ko siyang makasama’

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Angel Locsin professed her love for ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano in an TV interview, days after her admission that she still has feelings for the actor-TV host.

“Hindi ko talaga ma-explain kung ano itong nararamdaman ko ngayon. Basta alam ko lang, mahal ko yung tao at gusto ko siyang makasama,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN’s showbiz talk show “Buzz ng Bayan” on Sunday, January 19.

During a bloggers’ conference for her upcoming show “The Legal Wife” on Wednesday, January 15, the Kapamilya actress revealed she wants to reconcile with Luis. The two broke up in 2009.

Angel said that she and Luis have not gotten back together since her revelation. However, she admitted they are currently in communication with each other.

“Nag-uusap pa po kami. Kakausapin niya po yung daddy ko po,” the 28-year-old actress explained. “Hindi ako nagtatago, pero may mga bagay talaga na inaayos pa kami. But as of now, we’re happy, nag-e-enjoy kami sa isa’t isa, at siguro nagiging honest kami sa isa’t isa.”

Angel added: “Sana maging maayos yung mga pag-uusap dahil ang dami naming di napag-usapan noon, nung naghiwalay kami.”

In his interviews regarding Angel’s confession last week, Luis admitted he’s open to “rekindling” his relationship with Angel.

Meanwhile, Phil Younghusband, Angel’s ex-boyfriend, admitted the Kapamilya actress is “still in my heart.”

Both Angel and Phil and Luis and Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado admitted their breakups October of last year. Both couples said their breakups were mutual and no third parties were involved.

The “Legal Wife” star again explained that Luis had nothing to do with her split with Phil, as she and the “Minute To Win It” host avoided each other two to three years prior their recent meetings.

Angel added she had nothing to do with Luis’ breakup with Jennylyn.

“Ako, sobrang against talaga ako sa mga nanloloko ng tao. At wala akong history na nanloko ako ng boyfriend o kung sinoman na inaway na ganyan… malayo po talaga yun,” she said.

“Naghiwalay po kami, mutual yung decision, wala pong kinalaman si Luis,” Angel said of her breakup with Phil.

To Jennylyn, Angel said: “Kung na-offend pa siya na po, pero di po ganun ang mga nangyari. Nagkataon lang na nagkita kami at naramdaman namin ang mga bagay-bagay.”
