Bistado probes story of Filipina ‘raped & beaten up’ by Korean

MANILA, Philippines - Julius Babao revisits the story of a Filipina who was held captive, beaten up, raped and almost murdered by a Korean in today’s Pinoy True Stories: Bistado. 

“Sophia,” an entertainer, met “Jo Hann” through a common friend. She was eventually invited by Jo Hann to drink in his place in Manila, where her heartbreaking ordeal happened. After nine days of captivity and near-death experience, Sophia fortunately escaped and sought help from the authorities. 

What did Sophia go through? How is she coping after the experience? Is she ready to face a brand-new chapter of her life and move on?
