Kapuso Panagbenga

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines  â€” Fans from the North were overwhelmed when Kapuso stars graced Panagbenga Festival (Baguio’s Flower Festival) 2013 last Feb. 23, via a mall show at SM City Baguio’s The Drive.

The Kapuso show featured Down To Mars, Chynna Ortaleza, Indio stars Vaness del Moral, Ryza Cenon, Ehra Madrigal, John Feir, Sheena Halili and Rhian Ramos as well as Dennis Trillo, star of the hit GMA teleserye Temptation of Wife.

Vaness came in onstage first, sexy in tight leather pants and trench coat greeted the audience as she rendered Ilocano version of Ang Tipo Kong Lalake with applause from the jam-packed crowd. The two-equally and talented ladies Chynna and Rhian each went up the stage rendered a few songs including Tik Tok, This Love and Super Bass and delighted the crowd with their sense of humor and showmanship.

Ladies in the crowd swooned as Dennis performed Lips of an Angel and sent the rest of the audience screaming in delight while security personnel had to tighten their watch as fans shoved against each other to shake Dennis’ hand, kiss and hug him or simply to get a good angle for their cameras and take pictures with him.

The culmination of the celebration held last Sunday, Feb. 24 became even more colorful as the Kapuso float took part in the Grand Float Parade. Senator Bong Revilla was easily recognized dressed in Indio costume with his teleserye co-stars Rhian, Vaness, Ryza, Ehra and Sheena. A total of 19 floral adorned floats and dancers wearing Cordilleran, modern and futuristic costumes went through the Summer Capital’s main streets and avenues.
