MANILA, Philippines - After 24 years of smiles, tears and heart-warming stories, The Oprah Winfrey Show is coming to an end. The Queen of Talk will go out with a bang as she gives away prizes even bigger than previous seasons and sits down for even more memorable celebrity interviews and inspiring stories. Premiering tonight at 6, Oprah Season 25 should be your after-work escape Monday through Friday on The Channel for Today’s Urbanite, 2nd Avenue.
Kicking off the farewell season is celebrity guest John Travolta who has appeared on the show 11 times. A good friend of Oprah, John surprises 300 of her biggest fans with the news that they will fly with Oprah to Australia to see the Land Down Under. A trip that audiences can see later on in the season which features U2’s Bono and Hugh Jackman sitting down with Oprah at the famed Sydney Opera House.
Other guests dropping by are Whoopi Goldberg, Nicole Kidman, Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Hudson and Diana Ross. Not to be missed are interviews with Michael Jackson’s mother and children, former US Pres. George Bush and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
Airing live via satellite today at 9 a.m. with a primetime replay at 9 p.m. on Jack TV during Jack‘s Handpicked, Wrestle Mania will see rivals go head to head with only one walking away with a belt in hand. Playing host is former wrestler-turned-movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. After seven years, he returns to WWE and the fans that jump-started his career. But his return does not come without controversy as he looks to slam the People’s Elbow on one of his harshest critics John Cena.
Returning as a guest referee, Stone Cold Steve Austin will raise hell as he steps into the ring to officiate the match between ringside announcers Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole. The heated battle will finally reveal who is the more dominant voice of Raw.
One match not to be missed is the clash of two legendary Superstars: Triple H and The Undertaker. Triple H fresh from his hiatus due to an injury looks to put an end to The Undertaker’s impressive winning streak at WrestleMania.
