Ballet-themed b-day bash

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It is said that when Dawn Zulueta was a kid, she wanted so much to be a ballet dancer.

But the meager family finances prevented her from enrolling in a ballet school.

‘I am a frustrated ballet dancer,’ confessed Dawn, wife of Anton Lagdameo who has just been reelected congressman of the second district of Davao del Norte. ‘Up to now, I still want to be one.’

So when Dawn and Anton’s daughter Ayisha Madlen (with a friend Winnie da Pooh) celebrated her first birthday last June 27 (five days after her birthday, June 22), Dawn hosted a party with, you guessed it, ballet as theme. Venue was the social hall of Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Forbes Park, Makati City. The couple’s five year old son Jacobo (middle photo)

‘More than 250 guests came,’ reported Vivian Recio, Dawn’s manager who furnished The STAR the photos on this page. ‘It wasn’t a purely kiddie party. The adult guests enjoyed the affair as much as the kids did.’

‘At least,’ Dawn (right, with Vicky Morales and husband King Reyno and their twins) said with a laugh, ‘parang nabawasan na rin ang frustration ko maging ballet dancer.’

When Ayisha grows up, it’s presumed that she will be a, yes, ballet dancer.
