NBN 4 airs the 57th Famas Awards night

MANILA, Philippines - The 57th Famas Awards Night held at the PAGCOR Grand Theater in Parañaque City recently will now be aired tomorrow, Dec. 19, starting 2 p.m.

Heart Evangelista won Best Actress for portraying a teacher in the indie movie Ay, Ayeng  while Allen Dizon was proclaimed Best Actor for Paupahan.

German Moreno and Snooky Serna won in the supporting role category both for Paupahan. The movie with the historical theme, Baler  got the Best Picture award.

Guest speaker was Press Sec. Cerge Remonde of Malacanang Palace.

Special awardees were Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla (FPJ Memorial Award), Gov. Vilma Santos (Exemplary Achievement Award), Carlo J. Caparas and Donna Villa (Presidential Awards), Alice H. Reyes (Flavio Macaso Memorial Award), Junne Quintana (Dr. Jose R. Perez Memorial Award), Delia Razon (Lifetime Achievement Award), Gloria Romero (Huwarang Bituin), Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu (German Moreno Achievement Awards), lawyer Ariel Enrile Inton Jr. and Cora Pastrana (Special Citations) and Roland Dantes (Posthumous Award).

Hosts of the evening were Iza Calzado, John Nite, Jackie Lou Blanco and Mico Aytona.

Sponsors are PAGCOR, NBN 4 and Millicent Productions with Lito Calzado as stage director.
