A discriminating brides best friend

Nowadays, organizing an event doesnt have to be nightmarish, thanks to the birth of special events groups such as Angels Wink Production, a corporate communications and special events company headed by former Tux member Paulo Clemente.
Angels Wink is the result of years of hard work and dedication to the art of corporate communications and special events.
Paulo got his extensive training in the field when he worked as a Junior Officer in the Corporate Communications department in one of the countrys leading pre-need companies, where he was trained and exposed to the wonders of multi-tasking in corporate publications, advertising, promotions and communications. He stayed with the company for seven years and resigned in 2002, opting for a more relaxed schedule as a freelancer, doing creative and consultation work for companies and organizations.
Recognizing his skills in corporate and creative work, plus his exposure to some of the best productions in the country as a member of the award-winning a cappella group Tux, clients started commissioning Paulo not only as a talent but also as producer/organizer for their corporate and special events. Even wedding clients appreciated the way Paulo and his group handled their special day because they felt like "stars" in their own carefully-planned wedding production.
Inspired by the success of his new venture, Paulo partnered with his friend Cesar Borromeo Aglipay, a finance and management operations expert, to lead the core group of people who comprise the Angels Wink Production team.
Just recently, they mounted the biggest bridal fair ever, gathering the best wedding and debut suppliers at The Loft@Rockwell.
Titled Weddings... Get Set... Go!!!, the bridal fair gave soon-to-be-wed couples and bright-eyed debutantes ideas and concepts for the most exciting of their lives; from gowns to flowers to honeymoon packages for bridal couples to the best venues and caterers.
Go, go, go, Paulo!
Jesuit Communications recently released a new book titled Chinese Filipinos, a collaboration by people who believe that the unique Chinese-Filipino heritage is not yet lost and that it is worth saving and remembering.
As what the introduction says, "There is a secret and unwritten history of a people who lived between two times, across two cultures, with divided allegiances ... They were brave and bold, and instead of being pulled apart became a bridge that pulled together, and all were the richer for it. They will not be remembered by name but only by their legacy..."
With this book, in images and words, the hope is that what was muffled will be heard and what was glimpsed will emerge from the shadows and proudly. It is a heritage too unique for anyone to allow to be forgotten; too beautiful not to be shared; too precious not to be celebrated.
The book, sized 11x11 inches, consists of 300 pages of text and photographs. There are chapters on history, business, language, education, art and culture, and identity. Chinese Filipinos is a collaboration of the Ateneo de Manila University Chinese Studies Program, Jesuit Communications Foundation, Inc. and Xavier School.
The book is designed by Felix Mago Miguel and contains illustrations and specially commissioned photographs by Sonny Yabao, Nico Sepe, Jurgen Freund, Lita Puyat, Chester Ong and Denise Weldon, among others. Over seven years of research went into the making of this book. The editorial team, headed by Clinton Palanca collaborated closely with numerous scholars, academics, civic groups, museums and more, both in Manila and in Fujian provinces, to carry out a definitive work that corrects many misconceptions based on speculation. Additional text by noted scholars and writers Caroline Hau, Queena Lee-Chua, Benito Lim, Michael Tan and Doreen Yu are also included in the book, making it an invaluable resource for Filipinos who wish to understand the history and struggle of this community, as well as for the descendants of Chinese immigrants today who are in danger of forgetting their past and are often seeking to forge an identity.
