Carlos raps like old school

Can Carlos Agassi rap like old school? Well, the young ABS-CBN Talent Center actor is set to answer that question in his newest rap album under Star Records aptly titled, Can Agassi Rap Like Old School? (C.A.R.L.O.S.).
During his press conference, Carlos refused to answer some questions like who was the girl he was referring to in his carrier single Boracay Baby? And was the story in the song a sanitized version of what actually happened in Boracay witnessed by the mute white sands of the island paradise?
"Well Im not the kiss-and-tell type! Its up to your imagination," Carlos teased.
Boracay Baby is one of the 12 songs Carlos and producer-rapper Andrew E. collaborated on for this album. While its melody is irresistible, the song tells of a tryst (sexual or otherwise, its up to us to use our imagination!) that he had when he vacationed in Boracay with his good friend and fellow Hunk Diether Ocampo. Apparently the immaculate white sands of Boracay have secrets to tell.
Meanwhile, while he isnt in search of a Puerto Galera baby or maybe an El Nido Baby, Carlos is busy juggling his schedule from the new noontime show Masayang Tanghali Bayan and ASAP. He is also shooting a movie tentatively titled Power Girls with Ai Ai de las Alas under Star Cinema. He, along with my "sister" Kris Aquino, is busy with Foot Trip, a foot spa located at the ground floor of ABS-CBNs The Loop.
Foot Trip offers many services including the Comfort Zone Foot Spa, Absolute Foot Indulgence and Paraffin Treatment for instant relief. Meanwhile, the Hot Stone Spa and Asian Foot Therapy are for those who love nature while romantics can try the Frozen Hot Chocolate Treatment.
Foot Trip has also recently introduced two treatments, the Lemongrass Deodorizing Treatment and Peppermint Cooling Treatment (for reservations, call 410-1954 or 410-1961).
Well, back to the question if Carlos can rap like old school. Your guess may differ from mine so why dont you just get a copy of his album?
"Its me on a plate, pretty much." This is how Melanie Chisholm a.k.a. Melanie C describes the content of Reason, her follow-up album to her 1999s multi-platinum Northern Star.
And what a gourmet feast she presents! With her vocals displaying a new warmth and maturity and her songwriting more boldly assured and energetic than before, she is set to turn any remaining misconceptions about her upside down.
For Reason, Melanie C collaborated with such stellar names as Rick Nowels, Gregg Alexander, Tore Jhansson, Rhett Lawrence and Phil Thornalley. Rick, Gregg, Tore and Rhett also take production credits along with Marius de Vries, Peter Vetesse, Pat McCarthy, Damien Le Gassick and Gary Clark.
The first single off Reason is the irresistible and insidious Here It Comes Again. Its the aperitif to an album that is uplifting, insightful, exciting, energetic and reflective, all at one time. When asked how true a portrait this album provides of Melanie C, the singer thinks for a moment and then smiles, "I think it offers a pretty accurate reflection of who I am and where Im now. Its generally positive, which is the way Im trying to go these days. It says Ive found myself in what is generally a good place, but that I still have my moments of darkness and insecurity as I think everyone does."
In that sense, I hope people will be able to identify with it and hence with me. In summary, and as I said at the outset, its pretty much me on a plate. Oh, and could I just say that Im very, very excited by it. Im truly proud of this work.
Reason by Melanie C is released by EMI Music and is available in CD and cassette formats.
