MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Megaworld Corp. is putting up an upscale residential condominium in Palawan, which is expected to generate P3 billion in sales for the company.

The project, called “The Bellagio Palawan,” will be Megaworld’s first upscale residential condominium development inside its Baytown Palawan township in Puerto Princesa.

Scheduled for completion by 2030, The Bellagio Palawan is a 12-story tower that will offer 188 smart home condo units.

“The Bellagio Palawan will serve as the gateway to Baytown Palawan. Once completed, it will become a vibrant lifestyle estate that will mirror the excitement that characterized Forbes Town in BGC through the years,” Megaworld Palawan vice president of sales and marketing Javier Romeo Abustan said.

Baytown Palawan is a lifestyle estate along the Puerto Princesa South Road in Palawan’s capital city being developed by Megaworld together with its subsidiary Suntrust Properties Inc.

Megaworld said that Baytown Palawan would soon host more residential condominium developments, hotels as well as commercial retail developments.

“We envision Baytown to be the new lifestyle capital of Puerto Princesa City,” Abustan said.

Baytown Palawan is one of two Megaworld township developments in Palawan.

Also being developed by the company is the 462-hectare Paragua Coastown ecotourism township in San Vicente, which is famous for the Philippines’ longest beachline.

For The Bellagio Palawan, Megaworld said the project’s most iconic amenity would be the city’s first heated infinity pool on a roof deck of a residential tower overlooking the scenic Puerto Princesa Bay.

The roof deck amenity area will also have a kiddie pool and its own pool lounge.

The Bellagio Palawan will also have several sustainability features such as its bicycle parking, low flow rate fixtures for water conservation in toilets and kitchen, occupancy sensors in hallways and energy-efficient equipment.

The tower will also have its own sewage treatment plant, rainwater harvesting facility and materials recovery facility.
