Learn to bake

MANILA, Philippines - The best place to learn baking is the PAFMIL Baking Center which is run bythe Philippine Association of Flour Millers, the biggest group of flour millers in the country. PAFMIL members supply most of the flour requirements of the bakery industry. For those who seriously intend to put up a bakery business, PAFMIL recommends the Basic Commercial Baking Course, a 20-day program that  lessons and actual baking practice covering breads, cakes, and pastries. The course centers of the science of baking and covers bakery mathematics, product pricing and functions of ingredients among others. The course begins on April 16. The Basic Cake Decoration Course follows on May 21-24. This course is designed for beginners who would like to venture into cake production and needs some artistic skills to come up with delicious and well-decorated cakes. On May 28 -29, the center opens its Cupcakes, Bars and Cookies course followed by the Specialty Breads and Cake Production Course  on June 4 - 8.
