Tupperware sees 39% sales growth

Tupperware Philippines (TPI) is projecting a 39-percent growth in its sales this year, according to Jose de Jesus Buenrostro, president and managing director of TPI.

According to Buenrostro, TPI’s optimistic growth projection this year is hinged on its expansion of its sales force that currently numbers 70,000.

At the same time, Buenrostro said, TPI is "reinventing" it Tupperware parties to make them not just product demonstrations, but a more interactive experience. Tupperware entered the Philippine in 1966.

Out of 15 markets in Asia Pacific, the Philippines now ranks third in term of sales.

Around 95 percent of the Tupperware products sold in the Philippines are produced at the company’s eight-hectare plant in Laguna.

The Laguna plant also export to 30 percent of its production to Australia, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Tupperware, Buenrostro boasted, has the approval of the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for the use of its plastic products for food.

Tupperware, Buenrostro assured, offers quality products backed by a lifetime guarantee.

Tupperware products, Buenrostro said, are quality product that compared to other cheap plastic food containers. He also gave assurance that there is no transmission of chemicals from the plastic to the food.
