The new Greenbelt, a must to check out

- Rey Gamboa -
Surprising but despite the economic difficulties that the country is reeling under, quite a number of businesses are sprouting in the metropolis.

Take the new Greenbelt of Ayala Center. It’s now being bannered as the country’s ultimate leisure center that combines shopping, dining and entertainment.

Being in one of the series of parties for celebrities and the media to mark its opening, I had the chance to take a peek at what has shaped up behind those tall fences that Ayala Land Inc., likewise the developer of Glorietta and Alabang Town Center, put up for more than a year, making the project more intriguing.

Everything in the new Greenbelt seems to be all about leisure – shopping, dining for leisure or for business or watching a movie.

As you walk around, you would completely forget that you are in the midst of a concrete jungle known as the Ayala Business Center. This is achieved by having all the shopping and entertainment built around a beautiful greenery, a park with lush vegetation of 400 trees and several plant varieties and also a lot of open spaces where anyone can stay to unwind as a respite from work, to relax with family and friends.

The developers of the new Greenbelt have designed it to make dining an event in itself. Aside from a wide choice of themed restaurants, there is a row of mood dining enclaves with individual uniqueness dictated by their chefs and cuisine.

Aside from the dining and the shopping, there are the five cinemas with state-of-the-art technology and guaranteed seats. The romantics have Greenbelt Cinema 3 waiting for them with rows upon rows of richly cushioned leather seats tailored for two allowing them the chance to sit close and cushy. For the culturally inclined there’s the Ayala Museum with its art exhibits – added food, this time for the soul.

Winnie Nazareth,
Ayala Land’s asst. vice president for marketing, comes up with an all encompassing statement to describe the new Greenbelt, "Nowhere in the country can you experience good food, hip nightlife and entertaining shopping in one compact place. Only the new Greenbelt will be able to provide that."

Friday’s media and celebrity party went al fresco offering guests a gourmet sampling of the best Greenbelt 2’s new restaurants had to offer. It was really food galore plus abundant elegant entertainment offered by songbird Lani Misalucha.

The remarkable entertainment and shopping complex would still need to be completed in its entirety, but even at this time it’s already worth checking out.
Princess E goes to Alabang Town Center
After being established less than a year ago in the outskirts of Alabang, "Princess E by Elvie Pineda" opens next month right inside the Alabang Town Center. This is in response to the clamor of most of its clients who preferred the ATC’s accessibility and ease in parking. The chosen site is its "Service Town" located at the basement where other specialized services may be found.

Although there are establishments that offer similar services for skin care found at the Alabang Town Center’s Service Town, Princess E’s specialized service of providing "white and flawless skin all over the body" is seen to completely meet the total beauty requirements of discerning and very discriminating Alabang residents.

Behind Princess E is the legendary expertise of Ms. Elvie Pineda, which she has unselfishly passed on to her managing partner and its entire staff of beauty consultants through rigorous training and skill formation. Although Ms. Pineda shall hold once a week, whole day consultation sessions, this invaluable knowledge of the basic rudiments of skin care combined with the advanced know-how to produce "white and flawless whole body skin" would make up for the other days of the week.

Residents of Alabang and its environs can also look forward to expert services for skin whitening not just for the entire body but for specialized parts as well, like face & neck, arms, thighs, lower legs, armpits and other intimate parts. All they would have to do is specify the parts of their body that they want to have "white and flawless skin" and Princess E will do the rest – and years and years of experience have not made them fail not even once.

The Princess E management assures of an elegant and upscale shop. Yet it hopes to cater to a wide range of customers because of its wide array of expert skin services that would all be in popular prices.

The guiding goal of Princess E management is to have a classy, elegant, clean and comfortable skin whitening shop offering expert services, born out of long, long years of experience, at very affordable prices.

Check it out in a few weeks time, Princess E by Ms. Elvie Pineda at Service Town, located at the basement of the Alabang Town Center.
Power outage victim
Yes, we were one of those who fell prey to this Tuesday’s Luzonwide brownout. But we got hit so hard that we were not able to tape this week’s episode of Business & Leisure. Although all the segments have all been pre-produced, what we failed to do was to tape my on-camera continuity sequences that were supposed to have been done at the Via Mare Penthouse Restaurant at the Tektite Towers in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. So, please don’t expect to watch an episode tonight, but rest assured that we shall be back on the air next Saturday, 11 p.m. on Channel 4 Manila and nationwide via satellite on the National Broadcasting Network to give you our regular business inputs and a lot of the good life.
