MANILA, Philippines — The members of P-pop boy group VXON were thrilled to be the first artists featured in “P-pop: Beyond the Stage,” a new experience that blends cinema, live performances and fan interaction into one event.

The event will feature a documentary screening about the quintet, highlighting their journey as a group since their formation in late 2021. It will take place on Nov. 14 at the Gateway Cineplex 18, Cinema 11, with three screening schedules: 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

VXON member C13 shared during the presscon that he was excited for fans to get a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes.

“When we are on stage, we really give our 100 percent. So, natutuwa kami to perform in front of you, guys. But it’s not only the performance that we want to show, we also want to show everything that’s happening leading up to that performance. We want to inspire you because sobrang hirap talaga ng mga nangyayari, and gusto ko samahan niyo rin kami sa journey namin behind the scenes,” he said.

Patrick added that the group was also looking forward to revisiting their humble beginnings, particularly the challenges they overcame along the way. “Actually, we really looked forward to this kasi kapag pinalabas na siya parang gusto ko lang yung feeling na, ‘Pinagdaanan namin ‘to. Ganito pala kami dati. Ganito pala kahirap talaga.’ So, we’re really happy.”

Franz also expressed his excitement about sharing behind-the-scenes moments with fans for the first time, including some vulnerable moments that they had never seen before. “Like the vulnerable moments we had, we also included (them) in the film. So, we’re very proud. At the same time, excited din kami kasi hindi pa namin talaga napapanood. So, together with you, guys, we’ll be seeing it for the first time and sharing that moment with you this November.”

Sam chimed in, saying that they also wanted to share who they are as artists, from their early training days to their performances and concerts. “(It will include) what we went through before up to this point when we had our concert and all. And right now, we will look back at our training process, performances, conversations, yung mga tampuhan namin before. You will see it here.”

“So, I’m very excited as well because we haven’t seen the finished product yet, and hopefully, from this point, you, guys, will also reminisce,” he added.

While Vince shared the same excitement, he admitted that he also felt pressured about revisiting their music journey. “Because hindi namin alam yung pinag-gagawa namin dati, but at the same time, we’re very excited kasi hindi pa namin nakikita yung mga clips.

Makikita niyo rin yung growth, and sana yung glow-up din,” he shared.

On the other hand, L-Squared Productions PH chief operating officer Ailene Llado explained the concept behind “P-pop: Beyond the Stage.”

“We wanted to create an experience where the screen is only the beginning,” she remarked. “‘Beyond the Stage’ gives artists a space to share more of who they are, bring that story to life through performance and connect with the fans, who have been part of it. Every artist has something different to tell, and that means every edition can become an experience of its own.”

Meanwhile, L-Squared Productions PH is holding “Vision Festa: Dive Into the Stars,” an immersive VR exhibition, featuring K-pop boy groups BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN and BOYNEXTDOOR. The exhibition is located on Level 3 of Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City.

Tickets for the immersive experience are available at www.ticketnet.com.ph. The exhibition will run until Oct. 31, with screening schedules from Mondays to Thursdays.
