San Juan aids breast cancer patients, survivors

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of San Juan yesterday provided financial assistance and free health services to 236 breast cancer patients and survivors.
The event was part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Conducted with the Caring Keri Foundation at the San Juan Theater, the local government gave P10,000 to cancer patients undergoing treatment and P5,000 to survivors under monitoring.
The beneficiaries also received health kits and access to vaccinations, nutrition counseling, dental services, chest X-rays, yoga and meditation.
Mayor Francis Zamora, whose wife Keri was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2019, urged patients and survivors to remain hopeful and follow their doctors’ advice.
He also assured them of the city government’s continued support throughout their treatment and recovery.
