Another Fil-Am joins 'The Pitt' for upcoming 3rd season
MANILA, Philippines — The Filipino representation on "The Pitt" is expanding with Filipino-American actor JB Tadena joining the cast for the Emmy-winning series' upcoming third season.
Tadena is one of seven new actors announced to be recurring guest stars in Season 3, which drops this January. The rest are Stephen Chang, Barry Clifton, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lawrence Kao, Brent Sexton, and Hannah Ware.
Previously revealed to be joining the upcoming season were Pruitt Taylor Vince, Malachi Beasley, Cheyenne Perez, Jeremy Radin, Charlz Williams, and Rosanny Zayas.
The Filipino-American will play Dr. Reed Thomas, a physician at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center where the series takes place.
He joins the cast of actors of Filipino heritage, namely, Isa Briones, Amielynn Abellera, and Kristin Villanueva, who portray Dr. Trinity Santos and nurses Perlah Alawi and Princess Dela Cruz, respectively.

Season 3 will pick up after the events of the previous season after lead character Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, played by Emmy winner Noah Wyle, returns from his sabbatical.
The show will continue its iconic format of an entire season encompassing an entire hospital shift, highlighting in real-time the challenges of frontline healthcare professionals.
The third season will take place on November 12, 2026, a day after Veterans Day in the United States, and a couple of weeks before Americans celebrate Thanksgiving.
Returning cast members include Katherina LaNasa, Sepideh Moafi, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Shawn Hatosy, Taylor Dearden, Fiona Dourif, Gerran Howell, and Ayesha Harris.
Prior to "The Pitt," Tadena appeared in the shows "Kung Fu" and "The Cleaning Lady." He will next be seen in Netflix's "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," starring Brad Pitt reprising his Oscar-winning role.
