LJ Reyes, husband Philip open New York cookie shop
MANILA, Philippines — Former actress Lourna Jane "LJ" Reyes and her husband Philip Evangelista have successfully expanded their cookie selling business with a permanent store.
After selling cookies online and via rotating pop-up shops, the couple has opened a full-blown mom-and-pop shop in the Northport village of Long Island, New York.
The village is right beside Eaton's Neck, where LJ and Philip married in October 2023, and, in fact, the couple did a photoshoot in front of the establishment where their The Village Cookie now stands.
The cookie shop had a soft opening last May but officially opened following a ribbon-cutting in June attended by friends and family, including LJ's son Aki, her child with actor Paulo Avelino, and daughter Summer with actor Paolo Contis.
"The Village Cookie has already become a special addition to our downtown," said the village's chamber of commerce on social media.
"Their passion for creating treats that spark conversation, bring people together, and create lasting memories perfectly reflects the spirit of Northport."
