Kathryn Bernardo to unveil Madame Tussauds statue in July

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Kathryn Bernardo will officially unveil her Madame Tussauds wax statue next month before it moves to its permanent home in Hong Kong.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and Kathryn herself announced last year she would be the latest and youngest Filipino to be immortalized by the famous tourist attraction.
The Hong Kong branch hosts the wax replicas of other Filipinos celebrities, namely, Manny Pacquiao, Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray. A wax figure of Lea Salonga, meanwhile, can be viewed at the Singapore branch on Sentosa island.
Before it heads over to Hong Kong — where Kathryn coincidentally shot her 2019 blockbuster "Hello, Love, Goodbye" with Alden Richards — the new Filipino statue will be revealed publicly on July 9 in Makati.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said the event would be taking place at the Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center while inviting fans to join a challege to meet Kathryn and her wax figure in person.

Kathryn shared last October that having her own wax figure was a dream come true and expressed her gratitude to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust.
"I'm excited for my fans worldwide to visit and interact with my twin, especially in Hong Kong, since it's such a meaningful milestone for me," Kathryn said.
Wade Chang, general manager of Merlin Entertainments Hong Kong, meanwhile, noted the value of the Filipino market and praised Kathryn as "an inspiring artist who has worked tirelessly to achieve her success."
Other celebrity statues in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong include Rihanna, Timothée Chalamet, Chris Hemsworth, Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Soo-hyun, Bae Suzy, and Hyun Bin.
