Robin Padilla passes 'Bad Boy' mantle to Daniel for fourth franchise installment
MANILA, Philippines — Rommel Padilla revealed that his son Daniel Padilla will star in the movie "Bad Boy 4" alongside Kaila Estrada, his rumored girlfriend.
During the "Bad Boy 3" screening, Robin Padilla was asked if he still wanted to be associated with the bad boy image now that he is a politician.
“Ipapamana ko na po ito sa Bad Boy 4, sa mas batang artista. Iintroduce na po natin,” Robin said.
Robin was then asked if he was referring to Daniel, prompting Rommel to confirm the plans.
“In the works. Syempre dahil nanggaling doon sa pinanggalingan din ay kailangan doon sa kagalingan din ibibigay,” Rommel said.
When asked if Kaila will be Daniel's leading lady, Rommel answered: “Aba syempre. Naman. Para naman makita na magkasama silang dalawa sa Bad Boy 4.”
The original "Bad Boy" premiered in 1990 and played a key role in establishing Robin's "bad boy" persona in Philippine cinema. It was followed by "Bad Boy II" in 1992, while "Bad Boy 3" revives the franchise more than 30 years after the previous installment.
