Bong hindi pinayagan ng Sandiganbayan sa burol ni Kuya Germs

MANILA, Philippines – Ibinasura ng Sandiganbayan ngayong Martes ang hirit ni Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. na makapunta sa burol ng namayapa nang aktor German “Kuya Germs” Moreno.

Sa desisyon ng First Division na kinabibilangan nina Chair Efren dela Cruz, Associate Justices, Rafael Lagos at Rodolfo Ponferrada, nakasaad na hindi naman kinakailangan si Revilla sa burol.

“After weighing the arguments of the parties, the Court is of the view of the situation presented by the accused could not be considered a special circumstance that deserves exception to the general restrictions on a detention prisoner’s rights. Thus, the motion is DENIED,” nakasaad sa desisyon.

 “(Revilla) is in detention because of non-bailable offense, and the Court has already denied his petition for bail, the event he seeks to attend is not an exceptional circumstance comparable to the hospitalization of his son and most importantly, the security risk involved, considering the large crowd expected in such occasions.”

Nang malaman ang pagpanaw ni Moreno nitong Enero 8 ay nagpaalam si Revilla sa anti-graft court na payagan siyang makapunta sa burol ngayong Martes o bukas mula alas-3 ng hapon hanggang alas-8 ng gabi.

Samantala, wala pa namang desisyon ang korte sa kaparehong hirit ni Sen. Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada.

Kapwa nakakulong ang mga senador sa Philippine National Custodial Center sa Camp Crame para sa kasong plunder kaugnay ng pork barrel scam.
