Taxi operators ayaw sa RFID

MANILA, Philippines - Iginiit ni Association of Taxi Operators in Metro Manila president Leonora Naval na patuloy na dumarami ang tutol sa Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) project ng Land Transportation Office (LTO).

Ayon kay Naval, hindi dapat ituloy ng LTO ang naturang proyekto dahil hindi naman ito katiyakan na maaayos ang suliranin sa colorum at out of line vehicles sa bansa.

Sinang-ayunan din ito nina Homer Mercado, Pa­ngulo ng Provincial Bus Operators Association of the Philippines at Atty. Bong Suntay, Pangulo ng Philippine National Taxi Operators Association ang naturang pagtutol dahil marami ng inilunsad na proyekto ang LTO ngunit hindi pa rin nito nalinis ang problema sa colorum at out of line vehicles.

Una ng tinutulan ng ilang grupo ang RFID pro­ject dahil gagawin lang uma­no itong milking cow ng ilang opisyal ng LTO at malaking pahirap uli sa publiko. Kinuwestyon din ng mga ito ang kamaha­lan ng presyo ng RFID na nag­ka­kahalaga ng P350, ga­yung makukuha lang ito ng P50. (Butch Quejada)
