MANILA, Philippines — Social media users are speculating that Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda could reunite on television after GMA-7 teased the return of its “King and Queen.”

The network recently posted a teaser on its social media pages featuring the words “The King and Queen are back,” alongside two chairs — one black and the other yellow.

Eagle-eyed netizens noticed that the word “BACK” highlights the letters “B” and “K,” prompting speculation that the teaser could refer to Boy, the King of Talk, and Kris, the Queen of All Media.

The possibility of a reunion between the longtime friends has generated excitement among fans who have followed their television partnership over the years.

Some have also speculated that Kris could appear on Boy’s GMA talk show, “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” for an exclusive interview.

Kris and Boy last hosted the ABS-CBN talk show “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” from 2014 to 2015. After Kris left the program, Boy continued hosting the late-night talk show under the title “Tonight with Boy Abunda.”

The two also worked together on ABS-CBN’s showbiz talk show “The Buzz” and GMA-7’s “Startalk.”

As of this writing, GMA-7 has yet to confirm the identities of the “King and Queen” featured in its teaser or announce a possible reunion between Kris and Boy.
