THE EAR - The Freeman

NO AGE LIMIT. The noontime show skit known by the televiewers as “kalye serye” has hit hard across all age cohorts in the entire nation. Even the old were at the TV monitors last Sunday because of a special date of the two noontime show sensations in a mansion. An Ear informer said: “Bisan akong lola gikilig.”

WHAT’S IN IT? A middle-aged man who happened to see a bunch of televiewers shouting and clapping while watching the show in front of a sari-sari store TV has wondered what is in this segment that they were really getting emotive when the two young sensations met together over a lunch, with the interferences coming from the three characters playing the role of grandmas of the girl who could only communicate using songs and short written messages. “Maapil sad ta’g ka-kilig bisan tiguwang na ta,” this man said.
