This “paklay” sells

THE EAR - The Freeman

PAKLAY. People almost fill up a certain carenderia in one of the barangays in Lapu-Lapu City because of a dish called "paklay." To one familiar with the dish, it is certainly delicious if cooked well.

POOP. But repeat customers swear this carenderia's version of the dish, although it stinks, tastes much better than the usual one. And its secret? Some say pig excrement, being one of its ingredients.

STENCH. Lunch may have been over hours ago but the food's stench lingers in the carenderia.
