On our third morning in Cagayan de Oro City, our hosts, Bobby and Iso Montalvan, picked us up in our hotel for a drive westward, backtracking through Iligan City, then uphill for another 30 minutes to Marawi City. Marawi is the capital of Lanao del Sur and is the spiritual and cultural center of Filipino Muslims.
