[Summary] => In anticipation of possible criminal charges against him for the killing of an ex-convict, PO3 Jerome Java yesterday prepared the affidavits of his witnesses to support his claim that it was a legitimate encounter leading to the death of Alemar Luna.
Java yesterday brought to the Cebu City Prosecutor's Office three witnesses, including his live-in partner Filomena Caintapan, to execute an affidavit.
The two other witnesses, whose names were withheld for security reasons, are reportedly cousins of Luna.

[Summary] => CEBU — It took a domesticated dog to lead the police into finding a man who robbed a mini-mart here on Saturday evening. The man was found hiding inside an empty refrigerator in one of the houses in Barangay Punta Princesa.
The Punta Princesa policemen were hunting down Ricky Cadavero, 26, after he robbed the Ubas mini-mart in F. Llamas Street. But the authorities got waylaid by the suspect about 200 meters away from the crime scene.
