CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — To ensure safety and security during the 47th Lanzones Festival next week, the Philippine National Police is deploying 252 PNP personnel to Mambajao town in Camiguin.

The security personnel will be coming from the Police Regional Office 10 and the Camiguin Police Provincial Office, with an augmentation force from the Highway Patrol Group, Bureau of Fire Protection, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

“We want everyone to enjoy the Lanzones Festival safely and peacefully. Our personnel must remain vigilant, respond promptly to concerns, and provide professional and courteous service to residents and visitors while upholding human rights and the highest standards of police discipline,” PRO-10 director Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr. said.

Police will also maintain visibility and security at tourist destinations and other public areas frequented by residents and festivalgoers, Babagay added.
